Deltarune is an official successor to Undertale, the cult-classic RPG! It is a parallel world featuring new characters and music, returning characters, and an upgraded battle system. Join Kris, Susie and Ralsei on their quest to restore balance between Light and Dark!-the deltarune wiki

Deltarune is the second role-play game independently developed by Toby Fox, with most art by Temmie Chang. It is a parallel world from Undertale's, with potential "connections" to its predecessor. The game is being developed in GameMaker, and due to its length and complexity, it has a large team of developers.-the deltarune wiki

Deltarune's paid release was June 4, 2025 to coincide with the Nintendo Switch 2's launch date in Japan. Its price is $24.99, with subsequent Chapters intended to be released as free expansions to the paid version of the game. For console versions, Deltarune only has to be bought once on a Nintendo or PlayStation console via cross-buy.-the deltarune wiki

Toby Fox has stated that official content releases for Deltarune and Undertale are from the official accounts, as well as from his Bluesky, Twitter, and Tumblr accounts. My thoughts

I first discovered Deltarune around the same time my Undertale phase was calming down, 2021-aka when chapter two came out! Originally, I found out about it from theorists debating as to what may happen in that very chapter, whether Kris would turn evil or if Ralsei was secretly Asriel, and after a bit more curiosity, I downloaded the demo on my switch(chapter 1 and 2), and I thought the game was absolutely beautiful! To me, Ive always loved Undertales style, so when I discovered there was another game Toby and Temmie made, I was even more excited! Deltarune to me is something very important in my life, being my obsession on and off, but every time without fail when a chapter releases, I always fall in love again, watching content from the fandom, whether that be animations edits or fanart, I consume it all.

If I had to say my favorite part about the game though, it'd be the characters. When I think about why I like the characters so much, its because of their realistic traits and strong emotion they cause me to have. For example, if I chose my absolute favorite-although it is a little plain, I would choose Kris. I think that my attachment for Kris was formed after I saw their reactions to the choices you would pick for them to say, for example when you pick Berdly to go with them, they get shocked and yell out "BERDLY!?!?!". To me, I thought it was really cool since if I was Kris in that situation, I'd lowkey say it like that too.. Which also makes me think about the fact that I think that with all the little information we have about Kris, they react relatively similar to what I would do. For example, literally every choice I've chosen from the chances I get to speak, it always seems to be the ones Kris would say, reacting normally and it seems like they have nothing against me(besides taking over their body). To me, I also think that Kris is such a cool character because of their design and how fun it can be to draw, being simple, but still very eye-catching(atleast to me).

I liek the Knight, Swatch, and Titan too tho...

FUN GANG!

Kris Dreemurr

Kris Dreemur is the main protag of Deltarune, they are a teenage Lightner that lives with Toriel, their adoptive mother. Kris is also the main character that the player controls throughout the game!

Susie

Susie is one of the main characters of Deltarune. She is a Lightner that curently attends the same school as Kris! Susie has a rude temperament, but later in the chapters she becomes comfortable and isn't as aggressive!

Ralsei

Ralsei is another one of the main characters of Deltarune. He is a prince Darkner and the third prophesied hero(the other two being Susie and Kris). Ralsei is a kind-hearted and polite Darkner, although throughout the chapters he begins to discover his own feelings.
